Setting Up MizzPam's Gardens

I made a few choices early in my process:

I wanted to repurpose as much as I could instead of buying kits and prefab green houses;

I needed to cover my garden(s) because heavy rain was too unpredictable (for me); and

I could have "pretty" gardens or "practical" gardens.

2022 I grew too many plants in this garden. vs. 2026 ONE raspberry bush in

I didn't leave room for growth... the same garden.

I started the 2nd garden in 2024.

Click below to see a presentation of the photos I took along the way. My general process in building the gardens has been to figure out what was CAUSING any problem and then fix THAT! If there are too many animals (birds, squirrels, groundhogs, cats, and rabbits), then enclose the garden in deer netting, even across the top. Too much rain? Cover the garden with clear tarps. Rain collects and buckles the "roof," make it slant downward from every angle, and use thin plexiglass under the tarp to give a more rigid surface.
